As the pioneering hospital in Sri Lanka for paediatric clinical training, we are responsible for the teaching and training of under graduate and Post graduate trainees of the University of Colombo, other universities. All consultants and the rest of the staff at LRH extend their invaluable support to achieve this goal in form of sharing their expertise and resources. Moreover, medical students from all over the world engage in elective appointment of varying durations. They are registered with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo as elective students. The hospital is a PGIM accredited unit for post graduate MD clinical training in general paediatrics, general surgery and its subspecialties as well as in other specialities such as haematology, nutrition, chemical pathology etc. The hospital provides training in MSc Community Medicine, Human Nutrition.
