VS OPD Unit is presently being run by a consultant and 3 medical officers.  The clinic is held Monday through Thursday from 8.00am to 12 noon.  The unit mainly caters to children with minor surgical issues like groin herniae, hydroceles, undescended testis, phimosis, small skin lumps. The child is preferably admitted on the day of the operation and discharged the same day.  Mainly uncomplicated problems are operated on. The two operation dates of the week are Friday and Saturday.
