The neurology Unit at LRH is the First and the largest pediatric neurology unit in Sri Lanka. This was started as an out patient service in 2007 and now has expanded to encompass several clinics, a 20 bed ward and a well equipped neurophysiology unit.
The neurology out patient appointments and admissions are on a pre booked /planned basis and appointments can be obtained by telephone. Urgent reviews need to come through the preliminary care unit or with a reference from a consultant.
There are 2 consultant pediatric neurologists and a team of dedicated medical officers, nursing officers, EEG technicians and other supportive staff attached to the unit.
